Disclaimer: La version revisited
Okay - so everything I wrote this weekend and today has been uploaded. Have fun catching up. I had a great time and now it's time to get back to the grind. Have a great evening and day!

I've been a bit behind on my reading lately, so I just caught myself up.
- Congrats on the marathon, that's awesome! Reading about all of your preparations and then actually running and completing the race reminds me that I haven't even run a 5k in forever, and I've completely lost track of my plans to try to run a longer race someday. I'll have to get my butt back in gear!
- Sorry to hear your Hilton experience was lousy. Hotels have very specific branding, where the more expensive brands in any given give you fewer free amenities. Stay at a $150/night Four Points by Sheraton and get free internet, parking, and (sometimes) breakfast. Stay at the $350/night Sheraton nearby and get none of the above. You can easily substitute Hilton Garden Inn vs. Hilton, Courtyard by Marriott vs. Marriott, etc. The same often goes for the in-room kitchenettes, which help attract budget travelers, not the luxury or business travelers who plan to spend money on dining.
- Wait, you've had a ride in an F-16? I'm totally jealous! I never got an incentive ride or fam flight while my base was an F-15 base. =(
- Also, I don't usually mind those smaller planes. Even though they are more cramped than then larger airliners, everything seems more quaint and personal. On the especially small ones, I love that I can often watch the whole flight through the windshield over the crew's shoulders.
- Sounds like you had a great vacation... I can't wait for my trip to Texas with Rose next month. It's already starting to get chilly up here, so I'm looking forward to my last taste of warmth before really having to bundle up.
- Lots of sage green, huh? So funny! I'm not the biggest fan of the new uniforms, but it's so nice that it doesn't need ironing/pressing.
